You can schedule walks here .

We require a minimum of 3 walks per week, on the same recurring times each day. For example: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 12:00pm. That said, you can cancel at any time if you are unhappy with the service.
Yes! You can cancel your service at any time.
We only do private dog walks, or siblings from the same home together.

We are not available for dog walks on the following days: Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, the day after Christmas. New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, the day after New Years. Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day.
You can cancel a walk at any time! Just be sure to let us know at least 24 hours in advance, or else the walk will be charged in full. We maintain a strict 24 hour cancellation policy, which is required as a courtesy to our dog walkers who rely on the income of their pre-set walk schedules to make a living, and who without sufficient notice, aren’t granted the opportunity of making alternate arrangements to pick up additional work to make up for the loss of income within the time slot that was originally reserved for your scheduled walk.

If you have a regular, repeating walk schedule, we highly recommend keeping your set walk schedule as constant and unchanging as possible, with minimal scheduling adjustments. As last minute cancellations and reschedules do cause our dog walkers to lose valuable work hours. We ask that you limit the amount of cancellations to 3 or 4 per month. A consistent, set schedule encourages dog walker longevity and reduces turnover rate, resulting in a regular, consistent dog walker for you and your pup!

After you’ve had a meet and greet or phone chat with your matched walker, let us know if you would like to move forward with BarkBud by emailing us at Once you have confirmed a start date, we will create your online portal and send you the login credentials shortly.

You will be billed each Sunday for the previous week’s walks. If your credit card fails to charge, we must receive payment by 5pm on Tuesday for services to continue. Contact if you have any issues completing payments.
You will enter your payment information into our secure customer dashboard which will be charged automatically every Sunday.
We use 256-BIT SSL encryption for all transactions and all payment information is stored in an encrypted format. As an additional safeguard, the technology we use is PCI-certified.

Yes! We only hire walkers that have experience in caring for dogs. Our walkers are knowledgeable, dependable, and very passionate about dogs. They understand the importance of being timely and taking care of your dog at the scheduled time.

Your primary walker may get sick, have a family emergency, or another issue that comes up suddenly. In these cases, we do our best to arrange a backup walker, but we won’t be able to guarantee one in all cases due to short notice, commute time, availability, keys/entry doors, etc. If your dog absolutely cannot handle the rare case of an incomplete walk without being severely distressed and harshly negatively affected, a different service may be a better choice.

Our goal is to always pair your dog with the same walker. However, there are times when the same walker will not be able to accommodate you:

  • If you are a regular client but you have to add a walk that is not in your set walking schedule.
  • If a walker request some time off or falls ill. In these rare circumstances you will be contacted and a temporary fill-in walker will be assigned to your dog.

BarkBud’s dog walkers have busy and varying schedules, making it difficult to guarantee exact times. BarkBud’s 2 hour time window ensures that our dog walkers have enough flexibility in order to be on time to walk your dog, while also accounting for delays on public transit, running behind schedule, finding an apartment, delays with a doorman, etc. It also gives our office some flexibility in the event of last minute covers or additional walks.

For example: your dog walk will begin anytime during the guaranteed, two-hour time frame. If your walk is scheduled at 2 PM, that means your walk can begin at any time between 1 PM and 3 PM. Your dog walker will be more than happy to try and accommodate your time requests, but our commitment to you is to ensure that the walk actually begins within the time window. A two-hour time frame is an industry standard with dog walking. Dog walking companies that guarantee exact times aren’t realistic. By providing a broader time frame, we’re able to guarantee that the walks will in fact start in the time provided.
